How do I sign up and set up my profile on the Rank App?

To create an account on Rank, make sure you have the following:

  • A phone number you can receive messages on
  • Access to verify your phone number
  • At least one valid means of identification
  • If you're in Nigeria, you’ll need your BVN or NIN
  • A live selfie (we’ll guide you through it) for facial recognition 

To get started with your profile, just follow these easy steps

  1. Enter your phone number
    • Select your country code and enter your mobile number.
    • A 6-digit verification code will be sent to your phone number.
    • Enter the code to verify your phone number.
  2. Verify your identity
    • Select the country that issued your identification document.
    • Choose the identity verification method you would like to start with: BVN or other available options.
    • If you do not know your BVN, you can dial *565*0# from your registered phone number to retrieve it.
  3. Complete facial verification
    • Take a clear photo by positioning your face within the camera frame.
    • Ensure you are in a well-lit environment and smile when prompted.
    • Set up your Rank profile
      • Enter your email address.
      • A 6-digit verification code will be sent to your email.
      • Enter the code to verify your email address.
    • Create your login details
      • Choose your preferred Rank tag.
      • Create a secure password.
      • Set up your login passcode.
      • Enable biometric authentication (Face ID/Fingerprint) if available. This step is optional.
    • Account activation
      • Once completed, your account will be successfully created.
      • You will automatically be placed on Tier 1 after completing your personal details, BVN verification, and facial verification.
