How do I sign up and set up my profile on the Rank App?

To create an account on Rank, make sure you have the following:

  • A phone number you can receive messages on
  • Access to verify your phone number
  • At least one valid means of identification
  • If you're in Nigeria, you’ll need your BVN or NIN
  • A live selfie (we’ll guide you through it) for facial recognition 

To get started with your profile, just follow these easy steps:

  1. Enter and verify your email address.
  2. Pick a username (rank tag) — this is the name others will see.
  3. Create a login password. It must be at least 8 characters long and include:
    • A capital letter
    • A small letter
    • A special character (like @, #, !)
  4. Set a 6-digit passcode — you’ll use this for quick actions.
  5. Turn on biometric login (like fingerprint or face ID) — this step is optional but makes logging in faster.
